It all started in 2014…
In 2012, less than a year into my job at Target after graduating from college, I was completely overwhelmed—long hours, frequent weekends, and managing a team of 70+ people right out of the gate were more than I could handle. I felt lonely and like a bad wife; I couldn’t go to church on Sundays, and I wasn’t meeting many of my important goals at work. I remember wanting to just give up on my life, so I quit.
I used my newfound time to do a lot of things, including ordering a $200 candle-making kit and making candles in my kitchen…
To be honest, I never thought this would become a business. At first, I was just making them for myself and sharing them with my family and friends. Then God revealed to me that I had the ability to give these candles away and even start a real small business. I realized I could share this with the world, and in 2014, Hallie Marshall was born.
As my business grew, so did my vision. I wanted to create a company that felt like home—a place where people could feel connected and like they were part of something special. So I hired the best candle-making team in the industry to make this vision a reality, and it became a reality. We put everything we had (literally 😉) into crafting beautiful candles, selecting the finest ingredients (100% natural soy wax, premium fragrances, and of course, no shortcuts), and making sure every experience was personal. I wanted people to get more than just a candle; I wanted them to feel the warmth and love that went into making it.
Today, I hope that each candle I make will be a blessing to you and your home. As Luke 10:5 says, "I look to Jesus, and may this candle, when it is brought to your home, give you peace..."
